What does Sea2Soil do?

Sea2Soil is a high-quality, cost effective organic soil improver for use in conventional and organic cultivation and amenity management.

Agriculture

Creation of a biologically active soils lead to an increase in porosity, enabling faster straw break down, leading to easier workable soils, lowering fuel consumption. Soils then have the ability to retain moisture, release nutrients creating a healthier plant, improving plant photosynthesis and carbon retention.

We’ve been using Sea2Soil for around three years now as we progress along our regen journey.

Whether you’re a regen or conventional farmer, the product is incredibly useful as an organic fertiliser and soil improver. An eco-friendly option that is multifaceted in its benefits is only going to be something that grows in popularity among farmers as the industry shifts.

The product has always been of great quality and is easy to use – we’re certainly using more of it now than ever before.

The Sea2Soil team is always a pleasure to deal with, the customer service has always been excellent, and delivery is fast too.

Organic Fish Hyrolysate

How Sea2Soil supports soil & crop function

Fish hydrolysate can be utilised by the soil microbiome and the plant directly. Sea2Soil supports beneficial soil bacteria that convert nutrients into a form readily available to the plant, helping crops function and grow more efficiently.

Sea2Soil contains a full range of naturally balanced amino acids. L-amino acids can be taken up by the plant directly for protein synthesis, while D-amino acids support soil bacteria and soil health.

Sea2Soil Works With Your Farming System

Tank Mix Compatibility

Sea2Soil is compatible with a wide range of products, including certain fungicides, herbicides, and PGRs.

When tank-mixed with herbicides in foliar applications, the fish oil content acts as a natural surfactant, which can enhance spraying performance.

For full details on the latest compatibility testing, please contact us. It is advisable to complete a simple compatibility bucket test before mixing in the sprayer tank.

    The story behind the success

Pelagia has 28 operating facilities across Norway, Europe and the United Kingdom, processing over 1 million tonnes of fish and fish by-products per annum. Pelagia is committed to zero waste from this industry, which is where Sea2Soil comes in. In fact, it’s a key part of this strategy.

In 2019, our processing facility in Bressay, on the Shetland Isle, expanded it operations and obtained a license to utilise unused fish by-products to create a highly nutritious soil improver.
